All businesses operating in Texas are required to have a Texas Registered Agent. For $99/year, you can hire the Texas law firm of Simon | Paschal PLLC to act as your registered agent. Never have to worry about being served with a lawsuit at your home or office. Leave that stress to the lawyers at Simon | Paschal.
Simon | Paschal PLLC is a business and employment law firm based in Dallas, Texas. For more than 10 years we have served as the registered agent for businesses throughout the state of Texas. One of the many benefits of hiring a lawyer as your registered agent is that we can sift through the junk mail that often fools business owners to sign up for services that are not required. More importantly, if your business is ever sued, we learn of that fact immediately, are aware of the relevant deadlines and important next steps, and we can assist you in finding the right legal representation for your lawsuit, whether or not that is us. As your registered agent, we will receive all legal process, summons, lawsuits, and compliance mail on your behalf and scan them to you in a timely fashion.
What is included for the $99 registered agent?
We will scan all mail, including legal documents, to you throughout the year.
Our address is identified on the Secretary of State’s website as your address for registered agent (we can also be your mailing address if you prefer additional privacy).
We will answer questions you have regarding any notices or mailings you receive.
What if I already have a registered agent?
We will prepare the necessary paperwork to notify the Texas Secretary of State that we have been appointed your registered agent. There is one time $15 filing fee for the replacement.
What is required of a registered agent?
Texas law requires every business operating in Texas to have a registered agent. A registered agent can be a person or business, but they must have a physical location where service of process can be completed during normal business hours. A registered agent cannot use a P.O. Box or UPS store as its address.
What if I need help creating my business?
The lawyers at Simon | Paschal PLLC can help you form your business, whether it is an LLC or Corporation. We offer a fixed fee no-hassle business formation process. For more information, visit our formation page.
Are there any cancellation fees?
There are no cancellation fees. You will be billed annually. If you decide not to pay, we will notify the Secretary of State you no longer wish us to be your registered agent. You will need to inform the Secretary of State of your new registered agent, but we will not charge any cancellation fee.
